What is RoqueOS?

RoqueOS is an operating system that runs entirely in the browser and transforms any device into a unified hub for computing, automation, and development.

Whether you are using a Smart TV, a tablet, an old laptop, or a powerful server — RoqueOS delivers the same full desktop experience, complete with windows, apps, and customization, directly through the browser.

The Core Idea

Most operating systems are tied to hardware. RoqueOS inverts this logic: the system comes to you, running as a progressive web app (PWA) that works on any device with a modern browser.

Core Pillars

Universal Interface

A real desktop, with resizable windows, a taskbar, Launchpad, and Spotlight. The same responsive interface that works on screens from 5" to 32".

Server Mode (Self-Hosted)

By connecting a RoqueOS Server (installed via Docker on your machine or VPS), you unlock a full suite of power tools:

  • Native Linux Terminal in the browser
  • Remote Browser (access any URL through the server)
  • Docker App Store to install dozens of applications with one click
  • File Manager with access to disks mapped on the server

Living Platform

RoqueOS is continuously updated via the web. No update installations, no reboots. Every new feature appears automatically the next time you open the browser.

Self-hosted

You have full control over your data. The server runs on your hardware, in your cloud, with your rules.
